Colorado River
September 17, 2008
Between Four Corners and the Grand Canyon, we stopped at the Navajo Bridge across the Colorado River. Built in 1927-27, the bridge spans 834 feet and is 467 feet high. The bridge is part of the Navajo Reservation.

There are two bridges, actually: one for walking and one for driving. We parked and walked across and back.
It was a beautiful afternoon and we met two couples traveling together, one pair from England and the other from Canada. We later saw them again at the Grand Canyon.
