Coho Lake, Washington

Our siteJune 30 - July 2, 2020

We met the Craft family here, where we had reserved a large site. The campground was fully reserved, but with Covid-19 and the lake being closed, only about a third of the sites were actually filled. So like with Lake Quinault, it offered a quieter camping experience. The weather was chilly and gray for mid-summer, but we loved spending time with the family, who we hadn't seen since February.

Remy was 20 months old, and just loved camping: hiking, campfires, tents, and playing in the dirt. They even took a polar bear dip in the cold lake..

We loved every minute of our time together. Kids grow so fast at this age, and it's been hard to not be able to visit our daughter and grandbaby for so long. We were grateful for some outdoor adventure with them all. Camping is sure the perfect way to connect during this pandemic.
